Introduction
The Pegaso 5064-A/1 is a 9.7-metre route bus with seating for 34 passengers and a 135 hp engine.
Its comfortable seats make it suitable for many kinds of work, particularly interurban services.
Vehicle condition
The vehicle passed through several owners before Autos Casas, its final operator, withdrew it in 2003.
ARCA acquired the bus in early 2006 while it was still in good condition and presented it in June 2007. It has required no major repairs since then and regularly takes part in association outings.

History
This Pegaso 5064 with interurban Beulas bodywork is a classic Spanish route bus with 34 seats. Although this body style was never especially numerous, it could be seen on the Mataró–Argentona route, with Transports Gómez (Sarbus) and Autos Castellbisbal, and on urban services in Mataró, Girona and Figueres.
The vehicle began its career as an employee coach for Indústria Riva. It subsequently passed through several owners:
Indústria Riva, staff transport; Empresa Pous; J. Argila, Vic–Gurb route; Bueno; and Autos Casas, Vic–Malla–Tona route.
Autos Casas withdrew it in 2003. ARCA acquired it in early 2006 and undertook its restoration and preservation because of its considerable historical interest.
Restoration between March 2006 and May 2007 included repairing the outer bodywork and replacing the most damaged panels. The worst affected interior seats were reupholstered.
No major mechanical repairs were needed; only leaks in the air system had to be sealed.
At the end of May 2007 the vehicle entered the paint booth for a complete repaint in colours close to its original green-and-cream scheme. It was presented in a festive event on 2 June 2007, coinciding with the fortieth anniversary of UAB fleet number 13, the Monotral 6035-A.
Part of the electrical wiring was renewed between 2022 and 2023. The vehicle is now fully operational.
